Gold for Nothing and Level Alts for Free (running old dungeons)

You've probably done it before ... No not that, but ran lowbies or your alts through dungeons. Did you know that that is a great way to earn some extra gold and level your alts or your friends, and there is no better time to do that than right now.

Today, why today? Well, little gold goblin it's WoW's 9th Anniversary! What does that mean for us gold makers? Go check your mailbox!

That's right everyone gets a Celebration Package! So dust off your profession alts that might be a bit lacking in levels and let's get to farming some old dungeons.

Tonight's special guest is our, please level me so I can finish leveling my Blacksmithing, Death Knight! So empty your bags, click your Celebration Package, and let's get dungeoning. For a list of dungeons available to you your alt at level check out WoWWiki's Instances by Level page! Turb our wonderful little Blacksmithing Death Knight is currently level 72 so let's head over to Drak'Tharon Keep. I like this dungeon because it's really easy to run through. Even if it's your first time in here you shouldn't get lost or at least too lost :P

Don't forget to grab whatever mines or herbs are in your dungeon to maximize profits and keep your profession leveling going.

I was able to do 3 runs of Drak'Tharon Keep in around 30 - 45 minutes (time included for distractions aka twitter >< (and the link at the bottom of this page)). Now let's see what we got out of it.

Turb leveled from 72-73 and almost hit 74.

50g in raw gold looted

140g from white and vendor trash

85g worth of cloth

90g worth of mining mats

35g worth of disenchanting mats

120g worth of transmog items

and 1 Khorium Lockbox with about 9g worth of disenchanting mats

So overall about 529g in 30-45minutes and an extra level and a half on my profession alt. Not a bad run.

Okay little gold goblins and gnomes, go celebrate WoW's 9th Anniversary by leveling up those profession alts and making yourself some nice gold along the way!

Until tomorrow,
~ Turbos
