So here's the breakdown of where you need to go to start your first little pet selling business.
Back to making some more alts (you should be good at this by now if you've been keeping up with the daily updates) Make yourself a little Draenei. Then run him (or her) over to your local Exodar and visit the vendor Sixx the Moth Keeper. If you haven't done so already mail your new alt a few gold probably around 10g and buy up a few Blue Moth Eggs, White Moth Eggs, and Yellow Moth Eggs. Next mail the moths back to your bank alt and list them up for anything over the initial 50s that you invested (depending on the market at the time you can probably get about 10g each) and now you're making an easy profit!
So you made your profit on Moths, but that's still a pretty limited market so let's start branching out to the rest of the pets available on the alliance side. Okay for your next alt you're gonna need a little Dwarf or Gnome. Pretty much the same idea as your Draenei with the moths, you're gonna need to mail this little guy a few gold, run him over to Yarlyn Amberstill in Amberstill Ranch and pick yourself up a few Rabbit Crate (Snowshoe)s mail them back to your Banker and put them up on the auction house for more than 20s and you're making even more profit!
By now you've probably got the idea behind what your next step is. Roll up a new Human alt, mail him (or her) around 10g and run them to Donni Anthania in the Elywnn Forest. Time to stock up on some cats! Get as many Cat Carrier (Bombay), Cat Carrier (Cornish Rex), Cat Carrier (Orange Tabby), and Cat Carrier (Silver Tabby)s that you want. Mail them back to your banker. Put them up on the auction for over 40s and keep those profits coming!
If you haven't tried selling pets on the auction house and you're new to making gold give this a try, see how it works for you. Of course all markets and servers are going to very, but as far as investments go vs return this is a pretty easy market to get set up with and see some profits fairly quickly. Hope you give it a try and really rake in that lovely gold!
