Who needs a Shirt?

A few days ago we talked about dungeon farming to help level alts and get some extra gold in our coffers. One of the ways I like to make money from doing that is by making shirts! Everyone likes shirts! From the Epic Purple Shirt to the lowly starter Footpad's Shirt there isn't anybody who at least at one time has worn a shirt on their character.

So let's look at what setting up a nice little shirt shop entails. Like I said entry into this little shop isn't too hard if you have a tailor and if you are already max level, if not you can start making at least linen shirts at level 1 in tailoring. So it's not that hard to catch up on at least making a few shirts.

Meet Truba! Truba is the oldest character I have that still gets a good amount of play time. She (now he, don't tell her that I faction and race changed her she is still an Undead at heart) was one of the first on Boulderfist to get her Dreadsteed when that quest was still rather hard, but she was pretty stacked being decked out in nearly full Dreadmist (sans the shoulders (stupid Scholomance)). I digress. The point being that I've had this character for a long time and most of the excess cloth I have ends up in her mailbox or sitting in her bank.

So gather together whatever cloth you have and lets roll it up into bolts. 12 hours later, see what you have. Now check and see what shirts you already know how to make.

Click the Filter Tab, then Slots and shirt. Now use whatever spare cloth you have gotten from all those dungeons you've run and now just made into bolts, to make as many of each variety of shirts that you can. Luckily I had enough for enough to make a few of each (with so much more cloth to spare). I would have made more, but seeing how I'm not including a picture of truba's bank you can guess she's a little tight on inventory space. Keep in mind when making shirt's it is easiest to visit (and stay in) your local tailor's shop so that you can buy the necessary threads and dyes you need so you don't have to make a million trips back and forth.

Now off the the Auction House. I'm sure by now you're probably wondering why I really bother with making shirts. You think to yourself is there really any gold in that market, well, let's put our first shirt up for auction and see.

Boom first shirt we listed has a going rate of 354 gold and has been sold at that price for over a few months. Now prices on shirts may vary, due to supply and demand of both the patterns and the shirts themselves, but I can venture to guess that most servers are like the few I sell shirts on and usually you won't have too much competition. After listing all the shirts I could make, the prices of each shirt varied from as much as 499g to as low as 59s. As long as you've got the mats sitting around from running a bunch of dungeons, or are able to pick up the cloth for fairly cheap on the Auction House this market seems to be a win for me.

Okay little gold goblins and gnomes get out there and start making some shirts! Now if you don't have a tailor, go support your local shirt salesman and get yourself some nice new duds.

Love you little gold goblins and gnomes.
Until tomorrow,
~ Turbos
